These next Kitty’s are dressed as Japanese TV character’s Gatchapin & Mukku. On my first trip to Japan in 2005 there were a few DVD’s of them and not much else, now it seems Gatchapin & Mukku are everywhere you look. So naturally, Kitty had to get in on the action as well.

ICOCA is a rechargeable train pass used on the JR West rail network in Japan. Like all good companies in Japan, they have a mascot. Theirs is a platypus. This is Kitty dressed as this platypus. I’m disappointed I didn’t see the one for Suica – which is the Tokyo equivalent, as their mascot is a penguin.

And here we have Gloomy Bear Kitty. Gloomy Bear is very popular in Japan. I’m not sure if this one is kind of having a go at Kitty or not, but I had to get it anyway.
