I bought this from the Re Store the other day, not really paying much attention, and assuming it was just normal polenta. Turns out, it IS normal polenta, however it’s apparently already solidified in a rectangle, ready to fry up and eat.

I guess the huge “Ready to Eat” slogan should’ve been a giveaway…but…

Well, whaddya know, it looks like a big slab o’ polenta. Actually, it’s also looks a little like some sort of weird yellow tofu.

I’m cooking up some kale and mushrooms to go with it. As an interesting side note, I found both a dead lady bug and a fly hidden amongst the kale whilst washing it. I’m always amazed at people who don’t wash salad/spinach/kale whatever before cooking/eating it. I mean, imagine chopping in to a lady bug half way through your meal? Unpleasantness.
