So first up, I must apologise in advance for the lameness of the meals I will be posting over the next few nights. I’m still sick to some extent with some unidentifiable lurgy, making me feel head achey and nauseous. The doctor tells me it’s most likely viral (blood tests didn’t show up anything sinister) and given that I work with Kindergarten children, highly likely. Basically I just need to wait it out.
I don’t have much of an appetite as you can imagine, and supposedly healthy foods like fruits and veges seem to make me feel worse, so I am stripping my food back to basic, basic, basic. Toast will feature highly (even though, kinda ironically wheat usually makes me feel bleurgh) and soup.
Now, about the soup…I had thought I could probably muster up the energy to make up a pot of soup of some sort, but as luck would have it, Yuki, our Ragdoll cat has been sick the last few weeks also. We took her to the vet today, and she had to be sedated to have an X-ray 😦 good news is, she is ok (except for an infection, which should hopefully be cleared up by a round of antibiotics – which was (thankfully) administered by needle, because trying to get her to eat tablets….well, lets just say it’s near impossible) Whilst she was at the vet, I went to my doctors appointment.
ANYWAY, so what does this mean? It means we’re having freaking canned soup!
Pea and ham, cos its pretty much the only canned soup I like.
Steve went with cream of chicken…or something. It’s very yellow.
