Dinner #171: 17/1/2013

Tonight we were going to see Weezer play again. But this time it was at the Palais in St Kilda and they would be playing their Pinkerton album. All very exciting.
In need of an early dinner, and poo poo-ing the prospect of dinner in St Kilda (cos lets face it, it’s always a bit rubbish there) we decided to give our favourite late night bar The Toff a try. Only the night before, as we were enjoying a post Weezer night cap there, we saw/smelt the food that was coming out if their kitchen and it looked divine.
When we got there it was surprisingly un busy and we managed to schnaffle a booth/carriage/whatever it’s called, and we ordered up from their “Thai inspired, tapas inspired” menu. The waiter informed us that the food was quite spicy “Pfffft!” We scoffed “I think we can handle a little spice”. The food soon arrived, and it was nothing short of divine, but sheeeet…it was really spicy! Especially the dumplings. But they were still good, even with a burning mouth.

It really was very good. I’m hoping we get the chance to go back again on this trip.

Then we went to see Weezer, and it was fab.
