Dinner #173: 18/1/2013

We went to the Queen Vic Markets today and stocked up on all things meaty and cheesy. So much to choose from, it’s difficult not to try to buy one of everything.

Look at the mounds of anchovies! And the Buffalo Mozzarella!

After the markets, we set off to explore the city a bit more. Stopping for a rad coffee at one of our (many) favourite cafes. The best thing about this place (besides the coffee) is that they were playing ELO over the sound system 🙂

We got a bit hungry later in the afternoon, so stopped off at The Lounge for a beer and some chips. the chips had rosemary salt on them and we REALLY good. You might think that a chip is a chip, but this is not the case let me tell you. There is nothing worse that burnt soggy chips cooked in rancid oil. These were none of the above. Fresh, crispy and tasty. And the aioli served with them was delicious too.

Dinner was a simple affair of bread, meats and cheeses that we had picked up at the market earlier in the day.
