Went to Brunswick Street today and did some shopping. I bought a sweet pair of sunglasses. They really are pretty awesome. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a pair of sunglasses. The last pair I had I got from the lost and found bin at the Disney Store when I worked there about a million years ago. I needed to get some proper sunglasses though as I have a stuffed up eye at the moment – well it’s called “Surfers Eye” (look it up if you dare) and quite frankly, it’s sucks.
Anyway, that’s got nothing to do with food….after a tiring day of shopping, we decided that a trip to Melbourne is never complete without a beer at the Napier Hotel. So we stopped in for a drink and some (more) chips. I’ve never eaten so many chips in my life! These ones were nice, but not as good as yesterday’s.
We saw things like this wandering around Brunswick and Smith Streets.
We couldn’t decide what to have for dinner. Everywhere we wanted to go to seemed to be closed because it was Sunday – what kind of city is this?!? 🙂 So ended up going back for another ramen from Kokoro. Steve had the same type, and I had the Shoyu base with pork belly. Very tasty. We foolishly decided on getting gyoza also. Don’t get me wrong, they were delicious. But waaaay to much food. So….very….full….
After dinner we went for a wander around the streets trying to work off dinner 🙂 ended up stopping in at the Hofbrauhaus for a beer. Tasty…but now even more full….
