Today was my birthday, and to celebrate we went to the zoo. The oldest zoo in Europe, possibly the world. The sun was even shining today, which made a nice change.

We had beer and lunch at the zoo.

After the zoo, we caught the tram to Therme Wien, a natural thermal springs place. It was good to soothe aching legs and muscles. Once we worked out the system it was even better. So my birthday dinner was goulash at the thermal springs. You paid for it with the blippy wrist band that they give you.

On the way home on the tram, we spotted Tichy Icecream cafe. We had been trying to locate this place for a while. We jumped off the tram to investigate. At first we thought it was closed, but then realised it wasn’t,so we went in for Icecream. Steve got this Snowball thing, not quite sure what it w but, he assures me it was tasty. I went for normal ice cream. Except I got caramel sauce instead of cream which I ordered.
