We went to Yasaka shrine to celebrate New Year’s Eve. There were lots of food stalls set up everywhere. It was reasonably quiet early in the evening, but as midnight drew near, it was packed with thousands of people. We set up camp in a food tent and ate oden and had some drinks.

After midnight we enjoyed hot whisky and delicious takoyaki. Good times.
