We ran out of room breakfast so decided to go and have breakfast this morning at 28 Cafe. It’s the closest place to here that does breakfasty foods. And, up until now it’s been pretty good.
It was really quiet in there today, being a Monday, I guess. The menu had a lot of things “sold out” today as well, so I am guessing the week’s delivery hadn’t been in yet.
Steve ordered his favorite oats and chia porridge thing he had the other day, and I foolishly, trying to be be healthy (because I haven’t eaten a whole lot of fruit and veges over the last few days) opted for the Avocado and egg on toast which sounded pretty tasty. When mine arrived I noticed that there was some real avocado on the toast but the majority of it was that horrible pre packaged, pre made guacamole. Ok, I guess I’ll deal with it…but as a result, the toast was so, so soggy. Like not a little soggy, like you could pick up the toast and wave it around like a flag. Not cool. So I went and asked if I could get another piece of bread because look, this is gross. They weren’t exactly thrilled with the idea of providing me with another bit of bread, but eventually they agreed. The meal was still pretty revolting though – I’m not entirely sure how you stuff up avocado on toast so badly. But here we are.

We didn’t really know what to do with ourselves today. We decided to hang out in the shops for a bit.

We went to some of our favorite shops like Uniqlo, Don Quixote and the like, yes mostly Japanese stores.
We stopped for a matcha and ice cream at Hvala – not the same Hvala we went to the other day – at least this one was in a different location.

Then, because we didn’t quite get enough of Sentosa Island yesterday, we decided to head back for more fun. We caught the monorail over today.

We got out at the first station which was crazy busy with people going to / leaving Universal Studios. Also there were all these bunnies.

We looked in the Lego shop briefly.

Then we decided to head back down to Palawan beach. We went and looked at the 2nd of the 3 Giants sculptures that seem to be down that way.

And we saw some squirrels. So cute.

Then we bought some beers from the 7/11 and sat on the beach and enjoyed them.

After a couple of drinks and after the sun went down and we falsely believed it to be a little cooler, we decided to have a game of mini golf.

Good game all round. Steve won, but only just. Also to note: even though the sun wasn’t shining, it was in fact not cooler at all and we were drenched in sweat after this game of golf.

We decided we had better head back to the mainland, it was a Monday night and everything was beginning to shut down on Sentosa. We kind of needed dinner, but there wasn’t anywhere great to get any. So after a swift walk across the bridge/boardwalk back to Vivo City – we got there just before 9:30pm – and the shops & restaurants close at 10pm – we quickly decided to grab some burgers at Shake Shack, because it was there and open and look, they are delicious burgers.

Then we headed back to our hotel via a 7/11 to pick up some breakfast yogurts.
