Started the morning off with a coffee at Citizen Vinyl. Definitely our favourite place in town. The staff remember us already.

Coffees consumed, we looked around Citizen Vinyl a bit more and ended up buying the Boygenuis album The Record. It was a big favourite of mine in recent times, so I decided it was worth owning on vinyl.
Today we planned on just hanging out in downtown Asheville and doing a bit more shopping because the shops here are actually good! All the cute badges, tee shirts, art prints, books etc etc that you could ever need! This whole town is like a huuuge art market.
Malaprop bookstore was a place we spent some time in. Good book shop.

We spent most of the morning in bookstores, local crafts stores etc I may have bought some more tee shirts….
For lunch we went to Farm Burger and had really good burgers. The produce around here is of a high quality.

The afternoon saw more wandering about town and shopping before an afternoon coffee stop (and escape from the afternoon rain) at Rowan coffee.

A quick look in another record shop saw us end up buying another two records (Charley Crockett – $10 Cowboy and Colter Wall – Little Songs) Vinyl is a lot cheaper here – even with the bad conversion rate.
We went back to S&W Market where we went on the first night we got in and I decided I couldn’t leave this place without having at least one beer from one of the MANY local craft breweries here. And so I had a beer and Steve had an Old Fashioned.

By dinner time we were still pretty full from lunch but thought we should probably have something so we went to the downtown outlet of White Duck Tacos and got a couple of tacos each. The tofu taco is definitely the standout. Will be replicating this at home.

And then, because we have been looking at these people from our hotel room over the last couple of days, we thought we had to do have a drink on the roof top of the Flat Iron building.
Once again – it all looked very fancy but was actually very chilled. And great mountains views. We stayed there until it got dark.

Also not pictured here : all the many chats we have had with pretty much everyone- shop owners, customers, people on elevators etc etc everyone loves a good chat and wants to know where we are from etc etc I’m going to really miss that when I get home where if you just say hello to someone they look like they want to stab you. Hi ho.
