In Japan you can get Hello Kitty everything. From clothes, to rice cookers to umbrellas to..well, everything. So, where to draw the line when collecting Kitty stuff? To cut back on my excess baggage, I figured the best option was to collect the Hello Kitty charms that you can get in every city. These charms feature Ms Kitty dressed as something famous from that city or an area of that city. Excellent to collect because they are small, and you can find them everywhere!

I also discovered that Japan is not alone in their love for all things Hello Kitty, and managed to find some in America as well. And in an issue of Hello Kitty Fan that I picked up in Japan recently, I learnt that Canada, Thailand, Hawaii, amongst others, have them too. Hmmm…must plan next overseas trip accordingly….
