Got the slow cooker out today to make Osso Bucco. Well, it’s kind of Osso Bucco, I kind of made to up with whatever ingredients I had on hand. I’m sure George on Masterchef would have a problem with it. “This is not Osso Bucco….blah blah blah…” Well I don’t really care because it smells amazing. I also made a cabbage salad (Kraut Salat) from a German cookbook that I picked up in Munich. It’s a great book..but it’s in German. I was able to translate some, and the rest was translated by an ipad app. I think it was quite successful. Whether or not it will be as tasty as the Kraut Salat we had in Europe is another story.
