Ok so the olives have been soaking in water for about a week (I left it a bit longer because I didn’t have time during the week to do the next step). Now they have been rinsed and placed back in their jars and covered with brine and a little olive oil. Now we wait. 5 weeks apparently.
Note: Since I started this olive experiment I have been told many different (and much simpler) ways to pickle olives – next time I’m going to try one of those ways.
