After work on Tuesday afternoon I met up with my friend Al who was visiting from Canada. We went to  The Mechanics Institute for beers and were joined by some other friends – Pete and Dan a bit later. I like it at Mechanics. It’s nice and chilled and they play interesting music. Plus, the bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable and you can order food from Flip side Burgers downstairs, which is just what we did. After numerous bowls of chips, we all decided to soak up the beer we had been drinking with a burger. I had a beef and avocado burger, and I made a bit of a mess with it. I do have some photos from the evening but they are on my phone, so I will have to upload the later. In the meantime, you can just imagine what the burger looked like. Oh, and it was a great evening out.
