Crunky Road, Take Me Home

All trips must come to an end, and today it was time to fly home to Perth. Knowing Yuki wouldn’t be there when we got home meant we didn’t want to go home even more than usual.

But, go home we must. But not before a delicious breakfast delivered to our room.

Note: this breakfast is 100% Vegan – it’s “Buddhist Cuisine” – so no meat or animal products allowed. We particularly love the Natto.

Oishii!!

We were in a bit of a rush as had to get to the airport, which was a bit of shame. Our room was so awesome we wanted to just hang out there.

Oh before breakfast was served I had a quick run out to the temple to see it in daylight.

Then before we knew it, we were in our taxi headed for Narita airport.

Did some last minute impulse purchasing at the airport which is always fun.

And then we were on the plane and headed home. I wondered if we would be able to see Mt Fuji but it was pretty cloudy outside.

Suddenly – we saw this!!!

I didn’t have a window seat so I was standing up trying to take the picture past other peoples heads. The pilot announced that Mt Fuji was visible – but it was too late, we had already passed it by then.

Food on the flight was average but the rice crackers were delicious.

Rice crackers A+
Main meal C-

And then folks, we were home.

The next day we went to the shops to buy some food and had to see shocking scenes like this –

Take me back to Japan!!!!!!
