Grown Ups

Today we are off to Melbourne to continue this wacky adventure.

But first, breakfast! We had market museli and yogurt in our room – its Sunday so most the cafes in town are closed. What is even up with that? Perth is the same. Isn’t that when you want coffee and breakfast? Apparently not. Cafes exist only for office workers these days.

We did find a nearby place to have a coffee that was open. It was really busy because well, I doubt we were the only ones who needed sustenance.

Coffee was average.

Back to the hotel for packing and scoffing the rest of the cheese and snacks we had in the fridge.

Our Adelaide hotel 3 stars

Then before we knew it we were on our way to the airport.

Airport coffees – disappointing

At the airport we once again ran in to our new friend Ravi who was headed back to Melbourne. We have to stop meeting like this!

Very quick flight – like 50 minutes!

Landed in rainy Melbourne, got our bags, lined up for the Skybus and there was Ravi again. We chatted the whole way about music and such things before boarding the same tram – turns out he lives very near where we were staying. Crazy.

Checked in to our hotel and headed out for a walk around the rainy streets.

We had dinner at a Mexican place on Brunswick Street. It was pretty good.

After dinner, for old times sake, we went and had a beer at The Punters Club. It wasn’t the same, but it was ok. At least it’s a pub again.

Had a bit more of a wander around Brunswick Street and surrounds and that was about it really! Nice to be back in Melbourne.

  1. The airport coffee did have a cute cup though, haha.

And I love Steve’s shirt! Also that Mex food looks legit- yum.
