Ok we have to go home today. Sick or otherwise. Steve is feeling ok. Well enough anyway. Our flight wasn’t until 11pm or some crazy time. We extended our check out until 8pm. That was a stroke of genius. I mean, it cost us money, but money well spent.
We had breakfast and then went to the pool. We wanted a decent coffee but there was no where nearby that could provide this to us so we succumbed to ordering a pool side coffee. It was ok. I’ve had worse.
I went for a swim. The water was actually warm enough to stay in for more than 5 minutes. Besides the coldness, it’s such an awesome pool with all these little secret areas.

We got takeaway Banh Mi from Nam Nam Noodle bar and had them by the pool.

After lunch we decided we needed to do some packing, again. How many times are we going to pack on this holiday?

After we packed we took our suitcases down to check them in. Singapore has an “early check in” counter in Jewel. Very convenient. We also needed a better coffee so went to Cafe Kitsune for coffee and cake. Good cake. Average coffee.

The bonus of the late flight is that we get to have dinner in Singapore and don’t have to rely on eating aeroplane food which I am officially over. I used to really love aeroplane food. I feel like the standard has dropped in recent years.
We went to Din Tai Fung for dumplings. The dumplings were good but the highlight was the Taiwanese dry noodles with scallion oil. We are obsessed by these noodles. So damn good.

Then before we knew it, it was time to check out of Crowne and get back in to the crazy airport world.

A last minute impulse purchase of a Singapora otter and we in through security and sitting around waiting for our plane to board.

Flight was adequate- Scoot airlines – definitely no frills. They have pre recorded messages that they like to play randomly throughout the flight just in case you were planning to sleep 😅 Still managed to sleep a little.
And then there were disco lights as we landed.

Safely back in Perth at 4:30am we waited for the first train and caught it home and went to sleep.
Thanks for following along – let’s do it again real soon! (Just got to find some money somewhere….)
