Dinner #50: 17/09/2012

As previously mentioned, I generally try to avoid wheat in my diet. I was super strict on it for a while, but these days I allow myself a treat every now and then. Going back to eating toast for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and pasta for dinner, these days would probably kill me, but the occasional bread product doesn’t seem to treat me too badly.
So anyway, I saw this recipe for Calamari ‘sliders’ in Feast magazine, and decided that I had to have them. So what we have here is Japanese panko crumbed squid (from Rottnest, apparently) in bread rolls with gherkins, lettuce & mayo. And chips. I was going to make chips from scratch, but then I decided to just buy some frozen ones instead. Can’t be good all the time 😛
