We thought we’d try something a bit different and test out the seafood buffet at the Hyatt Hotel in Shinjuku. It was reasonably priced considering the amount of food and the high quality – about $40 each. Actually considering what that would equate to in Perth – a crappy counter meal and a middy of beer, it was a downright bargain. I ate so many crab legs and mini bowls of rice topped with ikura (salmon roe – my favourite) that after a stroll through Shinjuku Gardens, I had to go back to our hotel for a little lie down. I seem to recall I even fell asleep on the train ride back, just like a real Tokyo-ite 🙂
