Market goodies

We went to the Stirling Farmers Markets this morning. We haven’t been there for a long while, and it was so very busy today! There were quite a few more stallls then when we were last there, and we got some really nice heirloom vegetables. I love different coloured vegetables!

I got some baby turnips, although I’m not quite sure if that’s what they are as they smell quite radish-y. Anyway I decided to pickle them when I got home.

Another exciting thing I got was Wasabi Rocket. It really does have a spicy taste – although I would say it’s more like horseradish than wasabi. I never even knew this was a thing.

I used the Heirloom carrots for dinner, as well as some asparagus (which I grilled) and made a salad and grilled some chicken (that I had marinated in lemon, olive oil, garlic, chilli and paprika)

And then I packed the leftovers in to our Bentos for work lunches tomorrow!
