Ramsau really was beautiful. I wish I was there right now. I bet it looks even more magical in the Winter. Anyway, where were we?
Breakfast at Rittis Chalets where we were staying, came complete with stunning views (just ignore the car park bit)
I love Austrian breakfasts. So good.
It was raining a lot on this day so we first went to a shop to stock up on all things Pumpkin seed related (including oil, chocolate and salt) as well as some other goodies to take home.
We spent the day at a Therme and ate Landjager in the car bought from a servo for lunch.
Dinner at a local Gasthaus
Another day, another sensational breakfast
It was sunny today so we took the cable car up to the top of the Dachstein mountain. Spectacular views aplenty, plus bonus snow!
Quick coffee break to warm up
Back at the bottom of the mountain we had lunch at a Gasthaus with views of the mountain. Stunning scenery and delicious food. It really doesn’t get any better than this. Highlight of the trip right here. Gulasch, schamlz Brot and Jaga tee. Best.
After lunch we decided to hike up to a hut we could see whilst eating our lunch. It was a pretty cool walk, though Steve was a bit scared (it wasn’t so scary)
Once we made it to the hut we had some Kaiserschmarn.
Dinner that night was at the same place we went on the first night. I just HAD to have the Kren (horseradish) soup. It did not disappoint.
And before we knew it our time in Ramsau had come to an end. The next day we were heading off bound for Zell Am See.
I will be back.
