So after a good sleep and not much food I woke up feeling not too bad today.
Bit jet lagged but that’s to be expected. I think we got up at about 10am which is very late for us.
We had breakfast (some yogurt, banana and museli we bought yesterday) and Steve bought some average coffees from the hotel. We have had a lot of average coffees on this trip.
Then we went to the pool. A very good way to recover from jet lag and all other ailments.
The weird thing is, even though it is so hot here, the pool is too cold to stay in for very long. It’s something about the humidity I think because it’s similar when we are in North Adams.
They have a very cool pool at Crowne. I have no photos of us there this morning.
We stayed there for quite a while and having not eaten very much in the last 24 hours we were both starving.
I’m not sure if it was the best decision but for some reason I was craving Tonkatsu. I think I was just so starving! Luckily nearby Jewel has pretty much everything your heart desires so tonkatsu it was. Actually it was the rice and the cabbage that comes with tonkatsu that I was really craving. It was delicious and had no adverse effects so that is always a bonus.

After lunch we were in desperate need of a decent coffee. We went to Arabica because, well, they are reliable. I don’t love their coffee though. There is something about it that seems kind of fake.

We found the Singapore Otter again. I resisted the temptation to buy all the otter merchandise.

The newly reopened Pokemon store was going off.

After some shopping we went back to the pool for a bit.

We had chicken rice for dinner at this secret underground food hall that we have only just discovered. I didn’t love it. It was average chicken rice I thought.

So it was a pretty good bonus day in Singapore today. Thinking of how I was feeling yesterday…what a difference.
