Last breakfast in Malmo before getting on the train to Copenhagen station. We actually got on the wrong train for a bit but luckily realised our mistake before it was too late and changed trains after one station.

Checked in and tried to find a decent coffee at the airport. Found very average coffee.

It’s a 12 hour flight from Copenhagen to Singapore. About 8 of those hours were ok. We both slept a bit but it was a noisy flight full of Danish people talking loudly and wildly excited children.
Towards the end of the flight I started to feel quite unwell. I was on the brink of throwing up, not pleasant at all. Luckily I didn’t but when we landed in Singapore I was feeling really terrible. Really terrible. We had a five hour layover until our next flight to Perth. I did not want to get on another flight.
We went and found the only cafe open at 6am and I had a chamomile tea hoping it would make me feel better. It didn’t.
At some point we decided that the only solution was to reschedule our flight. We went and talked to the airline and all flights were booked for the next two days and they could only get us on a flight at 11pm on Monday night. We were both meant to be going back to work on Monday. We took the flight and went to Crowne Plaza hotel to see if they had a room available for us and most importantly if we could check in now (it was about 8:30am or so)
We got a room at the Crowne but it wouldn’t be ready until midday so we sat in the foyer and waited, where I fell deeply asleep on one of the chairs. I did see a child of about 3 years old driving around here motorised luggage like a scooter which made me laugh.
Our room was ready at midday – where I went to sleep for many hours.
I felt quite a bit better upon awaking but was very glad we ended up changing our flights.
So now we will be in Singapore for three days – at least it is the same time zone as Perth so we can get over our jet lag.
