Today we headed out to go to the Mint Museum of Toys. Before we got there we decided we were hungry so we stopped for an early lunch at our favourite Vietnamese chain Nam Nam Noodle Bar.
The Vietnamese coffee was delicious and just what we needed to give us energy for the day ahead.
We found The Mint Museum of Toys and went it. It was so good. How good you eask? So good. 5 floors of vintage toys from around the world. Some Disney stuff, Star Wars stuff, Buck Rogers stuff as well as loads of tin toys, pedal cars and other cool stuff. Here are some photos of the excitement.
Don’t you just wish you had one of those plastic orange laser guns?
Here’s some more choice shots.
After all the excitement of the museum, we wandered up to Haji Lane in the Arab quarter. Blainie bought a cute cat badge from a cute shop. (Not pictured). Then we wandered through Little India, and then caught the metro to China Town. In China Town we stopped for a coffee at another cat cafe – The Company Of Cats. It was super cute.
This is Elliott the Ragdoll. He was super cute.
The cats were all pretty chilled, but got super excited when offered some food snacks.
So much cuteness.
We were the only customers there for most of our stay. And there’s just something so damn relaxing about having a whole load of cats just chilling out around the place.
Then we went for a wander around China Town. We didn’t get very far before we decided to stop for some food. Duck & rice and pork & noodles. And a Tiger beer. Beer is extra enjoyable in this Singaporean heat.
Wandered the streets a bit more and checked out some things. Nearly won a $100 voucher from a radio station that was broadcasting from a plaza we were sitting in. But we were too slow and had to be happy with a drink bottle and bottle opener keycard thing instead.
Decided to head back to China Town for dinner. Decided it was time to try Chilli Crab. Did not regret. Messy, but delicious.
Then Kachang ice dessert. Not so sure about this.
