Last weekend we had our friends Naoko and Paul over for dinner. Naoko (as her name would suggest) is Japanese and an amazing cook – and as I was cooking Japanese food for dinner, I won’t pretend I wasn’t a little daunted. I went for an Izakaya style of food for the night – and cooked up a whole lot of different things. Karaage Octopus, Roasted Sweet Potato, Cucumber & Umeboshi pickles, Tamagoyaki, Scallop & Daikon radish salad, Yudofu and Sesame Spinach.
Everything turned out really good and everyone thought it was all delicious. It was a great night of eating, drinking delicious wine and talking about all sorts of random things. Good times.
