Bid adieu to Kyoto today and headed to Nozawa Onsen in the Japanese alps. We had eki Ben on the Shinkansen.

After a long travel day, we finally made it to our destination. So.much.snow.everywhere. After checking in to our accomodation and everything else we went for a wander around town to find some where to eat dinner. A couple places were full, but we eventually stumbled across one that let us in. It was an Izakaya type place, and we were starving, so look, it was pretty good, but it was not to the usual Japanese standard we know and expect.

And we’re not quick sure why there were chips served with the squid. Also they were cold. Needless to say, I didn’t eat the chips.
