Not content with all the cooking I had been doing on Christmas Eve, once the Stollen were finished I decided to cook a turkey. I’ve never cooked a turkey before. I thought it was about time I gave it a go. I seasoned it with thyme, butter, lemon, garlic and put it in the oven and hoped. I cooked it for about two and half hours. The plan was to eat it cold with some seafood and stuff later in the evening, but when it came out of the oven around 4:30pm, it looked and smelled too good to note at straight away. And so we had a very early dinner on Chirstmas Eve.
And of course Prawn and Grape salad was on the menu.
